College Success Program Lead II

Luna Flores was born and raised in Oakland and is a Students Rising Above Alum, class of 2013. She attended the University of California, Riverside and received a bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies. Luna previously worked for Girls Inc. of Alameda County with high school senior girls focusing on college- and workplace-readiness and building sisterhood, while providing programming through a trauma-informed approach. Luna’s passion lies in giving back to the community that once supported her, as an alum from Girls Inc. and now as she joins SRA. She is passionate about providing support, tools, and resources to her own neighborhood and looks forward to serving more under-served and underrepresented communities similar to her own (low income, undocumented, first-generation, and students of color). Luna is excited to be joining Students Rising Above and looks forward to giving back and providing support the way the program has supported her.
