Veli Waller received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Business from UCLA and a teaching credential from California State University at Hayward. Veli is a certified Career & College Advisor, receiving her certification through UC Berkeley Extension. After teaching in the classroom, she spent 15 years working in the Supplemental Education Industry managing and providing professional development to tutoring centers throughout California. She then transitioned into working in the College & Career Advising field and worked as an independent college advisor. She began partnering with nonprofit organizations to provide services to students and parents. In 2012, she joined the West Contra Costa Public Education Fund and spearheaded a district-wide financial aid campaign that resulted in financial aid application completion improvement that was near the top in the state of California. Veli is passionate about helping students develop to their potential. She joined SRA in 2017 and manages SRA’s Rising Stars program.
