Lizeth Macias joins SRA as the College Success Lead for the SOAR Program, where she develops curriculum designed to support students from their first semester of college through life after graduation. Her work centers on equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive academically, personally, and professionally throughout their college journey. As a first-generation college graduate, Lizeth is passionate about helping students pursue their educational goals with confidence, regardless of background. She earned her degree in Genetics with a minor in Education from UC Davis, where her path in college success began as a peer advisor for the College of Biological Sciences during her sophomore year. Prior to joining Students Rising Above, Lizeth worked as a College Success Fellow at 10,000 Degrees, advising first-generation college students as they navigated the challenges of higher education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors—whether it’s camping, hiking, paddle boarding, or snowboarding.
