As a College & Career Advisor, Rachel believes that student success goes beyond academics, it’s about creating community, gaining self-advocacy skills, and breaking barriers. In her role, she provides personalized guidance on all things college related while fostering a supportive environment where she hopes students feel seen, heard, and empowered. While earning her MA in Education with an emphasis in Equity and Social Justice from San Francisco State University, she helped launch SF State’s first peer mentorship program, ‘Femtorship,’ mentoring first-generation women of color in the Graduate Department of Education. As a first-generation college graduate herself, Rachel is connected to and understands the challenges students face in navigating higher education. She is committed to equity and access, striving to create inclusive support systems that empowers students.
