Luna Flores, a proud Oakland native and Students Rising Above (SRA) alumna, graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies. With a deep passion for community empowerment, she previously worked at Girls Inc. of Alameda County, supporting high school seniors in college and career readiness through a trauma-informed approach. As an alum of both Girls Inc. and SRA, Luna is committed to giving back to the communities that shaped her. She is dedicated to providing support, resources, and opportunities for underrepresented students.
Now serving as the College Success Program Lead II at SRA, Luna leads outreach efforts and oversees the application and selection process for the Rising Stars program. She works to strengthen community awareness of SRA, ensuring that more students gain knowledge of our programs. Luna is proud to play a role in expanding the program’s reach and impact, empowering the next generation just as SRA once empowered her.
