As the Career Development Program Manager at Students Rising Above (SRA), Arteivia Muaava supports Rising Stars, SOAR, and SRA Alumni programs by providing career development resources and structured guidance to help students navigate their professional journeys. Arteivia’s passion for giving back to her community began during her time at Santa Clara University, where she graduated as a first-generation college student. While in college, she volunteered with BAWSI (Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative), working to empower young girls in under-resourced communities by providing early access to sports. During this time, she recognized the need for stronger representation of Pacific Islander students in higher education and was inspired to support others facing similar challenges. Finding Students Rising Above was a pivotal moment for Arteivia, as it allowed her to serve the very community she comes from. She joined SRA seven years ago as a Rising Star and SOAR Advisor before transitioning into her current leadership role, where she continues to support students in defining and achieving their career goals. Beyond her role at SRA, Arteivia is also an entrepreneur. She founded her own photo booth business, combining her love for event planning with creating fun, memorable experiences for others.
