Salote is an SRA Alum from the Rising Stars Class of 2011. They graduated from Colgate University with a Bachelor’s in Asian Studies and African American Studies. Before joining the organization as an advisor in 2019, Salote worked at multiple institutions of higher education providing programming and support for first-generation students. They are passionate about supporting students like themself to define and obtain college success on their own terms. As the Internship Program Lead II for the SOAR Team, Salote supervises and manages the development of the Peer Mentor internship program. Outside of work, you can usually find them perusing the shelves at their local library!
