Haley Aniceta Eligio
Haley Aniceta Eligio was born and raised in Hawai‘i, and graduated from Kenyon College with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Anthropology and Music. As a first-generation college graduate and the daughter of an immigrant, Haley is deeply passionate about contributing to a more equitable world and expanding and enhancing college access opportunities in the Bay Area and beyond. Prior to joining the team at Students Rising Above, Haley served as the Development Data and Relationships Manager at Fugees Family, where she worked closely alongside executive leadership to rapidly expand the nation’s only school network dedicated to refugee education. With a career dedicated solely to the non-profit sector, Haley has also served in roles as the Capital Campaign Manager, Visitor Services Manager, and Sales and Events Associate at Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center, a rural non-profit dedicated to visual arts education on Maui. Haley believes that philanthropy is a powerful tool in dismantling inequality, systemic racism, and addressing poverty, and is thrilled to be furthering Students Rising Above’s mission of supporting and empowering low-income, first-generation college students to obtain a post-secondary education and secure career-ladder jobs in her role as SRA’s Grant Writer.
