Eddie Williams
Eddie Williams likes to smiles a lot, so it may be hard to imagine all the hardship that have crossed his path. Eddie comes from what he calls “a turbulent home.” He had a father who was hardly around and a mother who worked hard in order to support him and his little sister. Eddie grew up in a poor, crime-ridden neighborhood, where his home had been burglarized and trashed more than a dozen times. The family often resorted to carrying all their valuables each time they left the house.
Barely in his teens, Eddie suffered another traumatic tragedy when his mother died of cancer. On her deathbed she made Eddie promise that he would succeed and do well in his life. More than anything, Eddie has made this promise his determination, in all of the things he does in his life.
Eddie and his little sister went to live with their aunt in San Mateo, where he enrolled in Aragon High School. He started playing football, basketball, and track. Football is his true passion. On the field he has been awarded “Most Valuable Player” numerous times. Eddie has also scored academically by making the National Honor Roll. He is also a member of YMCA’s Leadership Program and won the “Future World Leader Award.”
Eddie has realized that academics are his way to a good future. In the Fall, he plans to attend the University of Idaho on a football scholarship.
