9th Annual Gala a HUGE Success!

Over 560 guests, and 70 students and graduates joined us for the 9th Annual Gala on March 22 held at the Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco.  It was a night to remember as Wendy Tokuda, former Mayor Willie Brown, and KR Rombauer joined in the festitives as we honored and celebrated the nearly 200 students in our program.  Union Bank was once again our Premier Gala Sponsor - thank you!

Thanks to our many generous guests as we raised a record $900,000!  Funds from the Annual Gala send students to college, and has quadrupled the number of students selected into our program over the past 8 years. 

The students were the true stars of the evening as all 50 high school seniors showed where they were going to college in the fall.  And then SRA Graduate Ali Rucker stood and spoke – the room was mesmerized.  She was articulate,heartfelt, and courageous in sharing her story.

We're already planning for the 10th Gala in March 2013.  See you there!
