Students Rising Above began as a series of news stories reported by news anchor Wendy Tokuda. Today, the program has grown into a non-profit committed to increasing the number of students served and to providing the financial assistance, mentoring support, and employment skills to be successful in school and in life. SRA selects high school juniors and is committed to working with students until they graduate from college. SRA is designated as a Mandatory Reporter under the California’s Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act.
