Jasmine Amar is an 8th grade Language Arts and Reading teacher at Bowditch Middle School. She has worked in education for over 23 years in both the public and private school settings. In addition to curriculum development and teaching, Jasmine has been committed to working with students who come from under-resourced communities. Jasmine received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in History from UC Santa Cruz. She attended San Francisco State University for her Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science, and she earned her MA in Education from Stanford University. When she is not teaching, Jasmine is an avid runner with 5 marathons under her belt and too many 1/2 marathons to count.
