Amy Niles joined SRA as an Advisor in 2014. She grew up in the Sonoma Valley, attended Boston College as an undergraduate, and then worked for a few years in the publishing industry. A desire to travel and to learn to speak Spanish led her to spend several years living and working as an English teacher in Central and South America, primarily in Costa Rica. Amy returned to the U.S. in 2007 to pursue her Master’s degree in International Education. She has worked as an advisor to international students at Willamette University in Oregon, and most recently at an English language school in San Francisco. In her spare time, Amy plays tennis, takes local shelter dogs for walks and volunteers at the Women’s Building teaching basic computer skills.
